I have 3 jpg picture files that are on the desktop of my computer. I want to move them off the desktop and into the data folder of BK 6.5 . When I try to do that all it does is put a shortcut into the BK data folder. I want to move them off the desktop. What am I doing wrong?? Jane

What I normally do is use the cut & paste method (CTRL-C CTRL-V) so I can make sure they moved before I delete the old one. Hi Jane, Are you trying to do this from within BK, if so it will only create the shortcut. What I do is: close BK open the location folder where your BK data files are open the picture file below your data file (It is preferable to keep the pictures separate to the actual data) Copy the photos you want to move from the desktop (Ctrl C) Paste them into the pictures folder of BK (Ctrl V) When they are copied you can delete the files on your desktop, (I always keep a folder of copies of the pictures in BK separate to the BK folder in case something happens to my database) Close all open folders Open BK Go to the person you want to link the photos to and follow the procedure using the Picture folder below your Data files as the location of the photos.
