(1) When I do a search, I would like the two spellings Bielby and Beilby to be regarded as the same i.e. if I search for Bielby I'd like to get the Beilbys too. Is there any way of doing this? (2) Also, I have several individuals who use both spellings - how should I deal with this? (I currently put Beilby/Bielby as their surname - does this present problems?) Thanks for any advice you can give. JOHN BIBBY
To John Bibby 1. When you search for that name use ?? for the two letters. Search for John B??lby That will match ie and ei and any other two letters. 2. In the top Name field put the name you want it printed on reports. Then click the Names tab in the middle of the screen, and Add Name at the bottom and add the second name there as Also Known As type.
