    3. Hi John and List As more of a lurker on the list than a poster, I just wanted to take the opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU JOHN, your support and continued work on BK is way above excellent. BK was the first and only program I tried upon acquiring my first home computer and it wasn't long before I registered with the DOS version back in 1995, upgrading to the various Windows versions as they became available. After my initial introduction to version 6 which was a total disaster from my point of view (my old brain was the problem not John's program), I have happily been using the latest versions for quite sometime now with none of my initial hiccups and over the years have felt absolutely no need to look at any other programs. As the unexpected owner of an iPad I was interested in earlier discussions on the apps available. These were "paid" versions and with my Scottish ancestry I wanted something "free" that would enable me to view all data while out and about researching. As a touch typist an iPad is not ideal so it is not my intention to use an app for updating and good old handwritten notes will still be the order of the day. Last week I came across the recently released free "Heredis" app. On the surface it appears to provide the viewing and searching options I was looking for, but as yet I have not had the chance to upload my gedcom. Has anyone else used this app in a similar way to that which I intend and how did you find it. John I hope you will not be upset for my reintroducing this iPad topic, you are still absolute tops in my book. Thank you again for all your hard work. Kind regards Glennis
