When in the edit screen, on a tab other than Event/Fact (or even on that, for when you have enough events/facts that the dates aren't visible), would it be possible to have the dates appear in the name box, or at least somewhere - so for example for the person I'm looking at now, I'd see [Wilfred Carter] [1874-1900] ? It could be made optional. Another, very minor, point: the other tabs have shortcut keys - for example, the Children tab has the n underlined, to show that pressing alt-N will take you to that tab. ISTR that the Event/Fact tab once had the / underlined, and that pressing Alt-/ took you to that tab - but this is no longer the case. (Actually I've just noticed that it's only the Children and Notes tabs that have such keys, presumably because other keys are already taken - though alt-S for siblings appears to be still free.) -- J. To J P Gulliver I might be able to make an option to show the birth and death date somewhere on the screen. I would need to find space. I would not want to put in in the top Name box or people would be confused and think it was part of the name and then delete it. I will think about that. The Alt+/ should still work to get to tab 1. It does not work from everywhere, but from most fields it will jump back there. The / is underlined on my screen. Perhaps you have a different font. John Steed ----- Original Message ----- From: "J.
