That are for every I receive from friends family , my own camera or whatever. When I shall use a picture to BK, the option are set to mainly put those picture to the folder Picture (just under my database) The pictures can be smaller as they are to be used in book or whatever. Those are only copies. I have my own safety routine to save all pictures on my PC I use the routine in BK to save all data and pictures in BK. Many do put their pictures all over and have different path to pictures in Picture folder for BK. When taking the gedcom, we have now a file that tells where all pictures are located that are mention in the gedcom. If you are going to make a Zip file with the gedcom and pictures, external text files, media files) you have to put them in the ZIP and as you are given away that ZIP you have to make a copy of all files and zip them. You cant move them from the location they have. So a question if John shall make a new folder where to put those copies to zip or have a program that selects copies from all folders and ZIP them to the new ZIP. I do not know if that is easy or not, but the last file from John to tell what files to be attaches to gedcom is a great step forward. And we should all manage to find that files more easy way today than last month. ;) Zipping pictures files don't make them smaller. Best way is to reduce the pictures files that are used in BK. Normally a pictures is as the picture to a passport. -- Otto Jørgensen http://www.bkwin.info/ All email is checked by NORTON
