    3. To Carole Edwards Caruso Yes, the [ ] is used by BK to enclose a 2 part or 3 part last name. Then BK removes the [ ] when printing reports. If you want to change that, then run BK 6.5 and go to File, Options. Then press Shift+F8 on the keyboard. It will pop up a message saying it will use { } instead of [ ] After that, then you can print the [ ] characters in names. The em dash is no problem because the printer code works fine in BK. It does not show up properly in the database on screen, but prints properly. However, the square brackets are a problem in BK. No matter what I do they will not print. Is there a solution? Thanks.
