I was looking over old reports this morning and discovered an old favorite, my Tiny Tafel report dated many moons ago. I then examined my copy of Brother's Keeper and low and behold John still provides for the creation of this report. I then went to Google and searched on the "Tafel Matching System" . . . all the information that came forward was really old. I was really trying to find out if anyone has picked up the ball and maintains a system to compare reports for users of common research. No dice . . . Is there any one of you who has found a productive use of this reporting technique? In my estimation it makes a great deal of sense and it seems like it might be really useful . . . it could be a succinct way of communicating our entire research knowledge in an abbreviated display for messaging. I've just removed a complete note for one person on my database, by deleting all the text and saving the changes. However, the notes tab still shows an asterisk, even after shutting down BK and restarting it. How do I get rid of the asterisk? Running BK 6.5.9 Howard -- Howard Slatter Cambridge, England
To Howard Slatter To delete the entire note, click the button at the bottom to Delete Link to Textfile. That will remove the entire note (in the future, you do not need to delete all the text manually, just click that button) John Steed ----- Original Message ----- From: "Howard Slatter" <haslatter@ntlworld.com> To: <bk@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, May 15, 2012 2:44 PM Subject: [BK] Asterisk on Notes tab in Edit screen > I've just removed a complete note for one person on my database, by > deleting all the text and saving the changes.
