I have noticed that BK's venerable image handler is both slow and uninterruptable when making the thumbnail in those circumstances, compared to almost any other image handler I have (such as IrfanView). [By uninterruptable, I mean if I go back or forward two people using the "<" or ">" buttons, and the intermediate person has such a large image, you still have to wait for BK to render it, even though you don't want to see it - the second ">" doesn't interrupt it.] I doubt this is your problem as I can't see why a rebuild should bring it up (it's always noticeable for me), but you never know. For me (BK7.x on Windows 7-32 [though I was at least as aware on my old XP machine]), BK _is_ unresponsive (though I'm not sure I've seen the "not responding" message) while it's rendering the image. > >Regards > >Greg Baldwin [] John -- J.
