I am unable to create a gedcom using registered version 7.3.4 under Windows 10 ver 1903 I get Error Bad file name or number Procedure stack GedcomOut.FRM(OK2CMD_Click) GedcomOut.FRM(PrepareWrite) Gedcom.BAS(CreateGedcom) Error happens when reading person 1250 I close the above and get dialogue box which reads 'Bad File Name' error happened at program location 1 If I try to generate the gedcom using a different file name I get the same error Any suggestions as to a fix please. To Keith Wellington Are you creating the Gedcom file in a folder on your C drive somewhere? Does person 1250 have anything unusual like a huge attached Note file? If you turn off the option to include Notes, does the error go away? If you want, you can make a Compressed Backup of your database and email to me privatly the BK7DATA.ZIP file and I can test it out here to see what is going on.
