John Steed and Sean Earnhardt, The F10 or shift F10 did not seem to work, however the left shift+ right click did. Sean's use of the term "phantom monitor" suggested that I do a google search involving that term and I found "www.technipages.com/bring-off-screen-window-back-onto-screen" which has several suggestions. The easiest one that worked for me was their "show desktop toggle" which consists of holding the windows key and repeatedly pressing D. Thanks for your quick response.
