Hi John & Otto, The date digit is missing on the Edit screen (and thereafter on reports, but I don't use these as often). The Reasonableness check is a good idea but doesn't show up these errors. I have just checked and I have an ancestor showing up as born inĀ 185 but dying in 1927 and it does not flag her up. I know some of the people with these errors have been in BK for many years without problems. Never mind, I will correct them as and when I come across them! Thanks again Ruth On 19/08/2019 21:04, John Steed wrote: > To Ruth Wilson > > If you go to Edit to view a date, is the last digit missing when you view it there? > > Or is it only missing when you are printing a Custom List where the length of the date field is limited? > > The program does not change a Date field in the database unless you used "Global Search and Replace" > > Anyway, one way to find bad dates is to run the report Other, Reasonableness Report. > > John Steed > > ________________________________ > From: Ruth Wilson via BK <bk@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Monday, August 19, 2019 5:56 PM > To: bk@rootsweb.com <bk@rootsweb.com> > Cc: Ruth Wilson <ruth.wilson7@ntlworld.com> > Subject: [BK] Check date errors > > Hello all, > > Is there a way to check for errors in dates? Thanks, Jim, that's an excellent idea! It didn't work perfectly, but it was a lot easier to scroll down and spot the 'odd' years quickly.
