I don't think the spouse and children themselves will be deleted. It just leaves orphan branches down from the children - and back up, if the deleted person was the only link to his/her parents, which will be the case if they had no siblings (that you'd recorded). -- J. Obviously any marriage relationship will be broken, then the children will be 'disconnected'. Only the ONE person will be deleted. All others, descendant & ancestors will remain, though not linked to anything. Brothers & sisters will not be brothers & sisters without parents. The descendants of the children will of course remain intact. Print out a descendsnt tree prior to the disconnection/deletion, complete with BK numbers. To Briteyes Gee If you are on the Edit screen and you click Delete, Person then it deletes only that one person. No one else. If you "Delete LINK to Spouse" then no person is deleted, and it only breaks the link from husband to wife and from those two parents to their children. It does not delete any people. All other links remain, so all descendants remain linked the way they were before, except for the children of the couple you are unlinking. So those children only will be unlinked from their parents. All other existing links remain.
