Ques: Is there any reason to keep back issues of BK-backup? I have about 35 versions of complete backups made on BK. John Cullom Westminster. MD
I recomend 1-3 backup of the database. When I have the newest, Idelete the oldest. From an other computer I suncronise the data from my PC. That include more than the data from BK, also email, photp etc. That are all svaed in the sky. --- hilsen/regards Otto -#- Den 06.06.2019 14:14, skrev cullomsr--- via BK: > Ques: Is there any reason to keep back issues of BK-backup? The program - bksetup7E3-3.EXE one need not keep because that is available on the web. However, I keep just the latest download version only as I then do not need to be Internet live to do a Re-Install - a rare need. My BK7 data I regularly back up. Note that, depending on how you work, and how much new data you input or change,, any more than the last three will mean your data does not have the latest changes. Of the current, as in "right now" data, I have a Begin work back-up before I make any changes. That allows me to discard new changes and go back to where the present work began. This might happen several times during a work session, but it means only a small amount and the most recent data is lost. At the end of the session, there is the standard "current data" back-up at the end of work. In addition there are the enduring back-ups on some other location vis USB, etc done weekly. I have back-ups going back several years, BK6, BK5 and the like. All useless now, of course. On an assortment of CDs, DVDs, USB, SD, media, but I keep them!! Keep only CURRENT data, John, Old data is Old data!!
