    1. [BK] Problems Resizing the BK Window
    2. Nick Higton
    3. I sometimes want to resize my BK window so it only fills part of my screen, so I can have another document open in the remainder. This is most useful when I'm transcribing images of gravestones, documents etc. However, as I reduce the window size, some unfortunate things happen. For example, on the person edit screen: When I reduce the width, first I lose one of the buttons along the top (add parents), and later the window starts to cut off on the right-hand side but without a scroll bar appearing at the bottom When I reduce the height, first I also lose one of the buttons along the top, but I also lose the buttons across the bottom even though there is loads of white space below the Events. Later, the window starts to cut off at the bottom but, again, there are no scroll bars showing. I think what is needed are, firstly, availability of a smaller font size and, secondly, introduction of scroll bars, for small windows Could John please look into whether more of the functionality could be retained when the window is reduced in size, please?

    3. To Nick Higton The Edit screen will fit in a small window, but to get the smallest you need to Close the Edit screen, then from the main screen pick Help, 640 by 480, then click Edit again. (If if that is too small, pick 800 by 600 from the menu, and then click Edit) It checks the window size when it opens Edit and it will use the smallest font and smallest buttons when you start Edit at 640 by 480 In your case, you already have a larger Edit window and you are trying to make it smaller (after it was already large) and that does not work as well. Let me know if 640 by 480 works for you.
