Dear John, I made no changes to where I keep my BK files. The bottom of the screen says: "C:\BROTHER'S KEEPER 7\Data\ Names: 0 Families: 0" The folder shown under Recent Databases is the same folder. Batya To Batya Olsen Did you recently move your BK database to a different folder or to a new computer? If you have not done so recently, then stop and restart Windows (reboot) When you start BK 7 now, does the bottom of the main screen say C:\Brother's Keeper 7\Data\ Or what does it say? It should NOT start with C:\Program files... If it says 0 names, click at the top File, Recent Database. Does that show a different folder name and does that one contain your data? Trusting the error message I clicked on the reindex button and when it finished tried to restart BK. Instead I got a message that my database was empty! I had thought that my backups to google drive would be sufficient to be able to restore the data but I am at a loss as to how to begin. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
