    3. Hi, A french-speaking user from Quebec has a problem restoring his database. He has a new PC and wants to restrore his database from the old one.  He saved his database on the old PC to a flash drive, but then after about one hour, the process of restoration doesn't seem to come to an end.  There is no indication that the database can be accessed on the new PC. Any suggestion? Thanks, Gilles Paquette

To Gilles Paquette Is the old database from BK 6 or from BK 7 Does the new computer have BK 6 or BK 7 When he picks File, Restore it should restore in less than 1 minute, unless he has over 100,000 names. Have him make a different Backup to a different USB flash drive and try again. Let me know if he still has trouble.     3. Thank you John. From what he wrote in his request, it looks like he has BK7 on both machines. But I asked him to be sure and I'm still waiting for his answer.     3. John and Fran, The user let the restore routine work and it finally ended with his database operationnal. He did have BK7 installed on his old PC so he didn't have to convert up. But he had to copy the dependant folders, pictures, texts, medias, manually and he reported that everything is now working fine. Thanks for your input.
