I am the only person that uses this computer and I am the adminstrator. I have over a thousand pictures and it would be a lot of work to re-enter them one at a time. Arlene

    3. Interesting!    I have been getting the same message when trying to copy pictures from MyHeritage listings into GENI.  I do store the pictures in my BK local masterfile as an intermediate step in the process, but I had been putting this off to a picture security feature in MyHeritage, and use a work-around using IrfanView (another picture editor) as an additional intermediate step. But Arlene's comment makes me think that the problem may be in the BK step, not MyHeritage. 3. I store my pictures of individuals on their primary BK page. C:\Brother's Keeper 7\Data\FAM\Picture...     It's the same path I have used for many years when capturing an individual portrait from elsewhere on the internet.    I only started to use this same storage BK location about 2 years ago when I started transferring my data & pictures to GENI from MyHeritage.   Never really thought much about it, just did it the way I always had with other internet pictures.    And this message only shows up when I'm sourcing them from MyHeritage. Are you getting the error message during one of those steps? (I didn't.) Ah - I see what you mean: the _following_ stage, where it says it will now look for where the pictures are - I selected drive D, and told it to proceed, and now _I_ have a BK7 popup box "Permission to use object denied". I OKd on that; the searching box disappeared, I got main menu back, and a BK7 box "Bad file name or number". I OK'd that, it went away, then reappeared after about a second. Repeated two more times, then back at main screen. After a rather longer pause (maybe 10 seconds?), a box "File already open". OK on that - back to main screen, then after - I don't know, 15 to 20 seconds: "Path not found". Back to main screen - I did a File > Exit at this point (then "without backup"). Restarting appears to be fine, in particular it hasn't lost my picture path. Windows 7, 32 bit; BK 7.3.5, "14-Jan-19". Hope this helps in the troubleshooting. -- J. P. Gilliver. 3. To Arlene (Friesianconnection) Do NOT use "Fix picture path" (It sometimes gives that error with Windows 7 or 10) Instead pick File, Utilities, Global Search and Replace, Change only the Picture path. Type the old and new path from C: to the last \ Be sure to use the correct upper or lower case for the old path. 3. To J P Gilliver For a global list of "picture not found" do a File, Backup Data Files and ask for pictures to also backup. When that is done, look for the text file called: BKFileNotFound.TXT in your BK data folder. It is a list of missing files. I will see about adding a check box for "ingore case" on the global search and replace. John Steed ________________________________ From: J. P.
