    3. Thank you, John, for this reassurance. At age 94 I am a little dilatory in getting things done.Because there may have been changes I will upload a new installation file for BK6.6 from your website rather than use the CD that I have.I have BK5 installed at C:/BK5, with data files in sub-directories of C:/BK5-DATA. I select these using BKPath. Is this facilty available in BK6?I do intend to merge the files into a single file in BK6, or later in BK7. 3. To Geoffrey Wilson Yes, you can have multiple databases in BK 6 or BK 7 However, it is easier if you have everyone in one large database. Let me know if you need help. 1. [BK] Multiple Data Bases

    3. >Yes, you can have multiple databases in BK 6 or BK 7 >However, it is easier if you have everyone in one large database. I have one database for my family. I have another for the folks (I'm not related to) who lived in my small rural community. It's interesting to see how they are kin with each other. 1. [BK] Re: Upgrading from BK5
    2. Bill
    3. My cousin is much more adventurous in adding time-distant relatives to our shared Scottish branch. But by the same token she has very good instincts, is a published author on a region of Scotland with a first rate analytical mind. She also has thousands of extended family recorded who are of lesser interest to me but I am grateful to be able to refer to them in her database when and if. So, while I won't admit her unverifiable theories into my main BK database, or don't want to clog mine with so many, I have her gedcoms in separate BK databases for reference. If I had a wish it would be to be able to have them open side by side. No doubt I could have them open in separate computers, if handled cautiously. -----Original Message----- From: John Steed [mailto:brothers_keeper@msn.com] Sent: Sunday, 23 December 2018 10:05 AM To: bk@rootsweb.com Subject: [BK] Re: Upgrading from BK5 To Geoffrey Wilson Yes, you can have multiple databases in BK 6 or BK 7 However, it is easier if you have everyone in one large database. I select these using BKPath. Is this facilty available in BK6?I do intend to merge the files into a single file in BK6, or later in BK7. 3. Bill Use the compare databases routine in BK Jim -----Original Message----- From: Bill <wbwebster@internode.on.net> Sent: Saturday, December 22, 2018 9:46 PM To: bk@rootsweb.com Subject: [BK] Re: Upgrading from BK5 My cousin is much more adventurous in adding time-distant relatives to our shared Scottish branch. Let me know if you need help. I select these using BKPath. Is this facilty available in BK6?I do intend to merge the files into a single file in BK6, or later in BK7.
