    3. Dale, How long have you been the GenWeb coordinator for Plymouth County? Years ago, from about 1995-1998 or 99, I was the coordinator for Digby Co, NS, Canada. The first for that county. GenWeb was in its infancy back then, and there were many vacant seats for coordinators. I was also working as the US "lead" for the IIGS project, which took off after I moved on, apparently, but is not all that well-known, today. International Internet Genealogy Society had a lot to do with getting rootsweb more established, but we truly failed by not ensuring it remained absolutely free. Surely it is still free, but as it is now "owned" by Ancestry.com, it's not as free as we'd hoped for it to remain. Someone has to pay for the growing numbers of required servers, though, so perhaps we were just too short-sighted on the speed with which internet genealogical research was going to grow! :-) Good to see GenWeb is still surviving, as well!
