    3. Wine and other "solutions" are not satisfactory. A VM is the only reliable method of running Windows program on Linux or Mac. On 7/05/2015 8:41 am, J. P. [] Is that just your general view, or have you actually tried running BK, specifically, under Wine, and had problems (like Jim Dell does with register reports)? When you say "Windows program", it sounds as if you mean Windows programs in general, so it isn't clear if you're just going by what others say (and which may be true for Windows prog.s that use and expect complex aspects of the OS), or whether you've actually tried BK (which still says it'll work in Windows 95!). -- J. 3. I have tried BK6 and other programs under Wine. Wine works best with simple programs with a single executable. (Parish Locator, AKA Parloc is one.) (Google for it!) More complex programs (most) either do not work at all or crash on certain functions. Another thing to watch is that Parallels for Mac (a VM software package)isn't happy with Win 95 & 98. (Yes! I have tried that too.) I don't know about Virtual Box and VM Ware. XP is probably OK though. On 7/05/2015 9:59 am, J. P.
