    3. Don't know "why" exactly. But I think sometimes Windows doesn't release stuff that it's supposed to (perhaps especially so with a forced close). It might just be a placebo effect, but I think it helps to reboot every once in a while anyway. P.S. I'm using Win7, but I wish they would still be supporting XP :-( Roy On 5/31/2015 7:20 PM, J. P. I have seen that behavior with other programs, such as an image editor that I often use. Sometimes it hangs, and after a forced close I can restart the application but it continues to misbehave.
