    3. Jim, and other interested readers, In my database I have 89 men named William Elgie (so named from 1645 to 2012). Some have middle names; some have suffixes, but most of them are simply William Elgie. I use the BK number to identify text files, and photographs that pertain to each of the separate individuals. I do the same. Although I don't have 89 people sharing a name I have duplicates of many names (do you know how many Samuel Packards there were in Bridgewater MA in colonial times?) and I find that using the BK numbers for the files works very well for me. I am not concerned about changing programs - I have been a registered BK user since the program was MS-DOS only, and John Steed and the program will likely both outlive me. Dale H.
