It seems that no matter which option I choose to have showing when I go to the edit screen, it *always* goes to Person 394. I prefer to have "The person which was showing the last time you used edit," but even with that option checked and the person number deleted, it still goes to Person 394 the next time I use BK. Am I missing some other setting? Thanks, *Lorna* ______________________ Lorna Dorr Family History Research Cathedral of All Souls Office Volunteer Asheville, NC Email: [email protected]
To Lorna Dorr There is a file called BKOPTION.D7 which is located in your BK DATA folder that holds the number of the last person. When you pick "the person showing last time" are you then picking from the top menu, File, Save and Close. If you go to Edit it will show 394 the first time. Then show someone else like person 123 Then click the Close button to the top right near the other buttons for Add Child, Add Spouse, etc. After you Close using that button, then click Edit and see if it shows 394 or 123 If it is still 394 then you may need to delete the BKOPTION.D7 file which is in your DATA folder. What is the name of your Data folder that shows at the bottom of the main BK screen?
