John, I did the upgrade and all is fine there. I do have a question about the compare databases, though. Will I have the opportunity to select which person to move to the newest database? Or, would I be better off maybe just opening BK7 with the backed up database and find the person and then manually add the data to the database on my hard drive? Since it's only one person, I'm thinking I might be better off doing it that way since the instructions state there may still be bugs in the conversion. Thanks for any advice. As always you come through. Yes, I have version 7.0.42. I will update immediately. I thought I'd been keeping up with the updates except for the most recent one in the last few weeks. Guess not. I do have a backup on two separate hard drives in addition to being in Dropbox. And, I had just done a backup last weekend. I also, periodically will copy my files in Dropbox into another folder on my hard drive on my laptop. Learned my lesson a long time ago. I had four floppy backups I kept in our fireproof box. We had a hard drive crash. Only one of the backups was actually useable when I tried to restore. Thank you again. I'll get right on that updating the program and restoring my person. I had thought that was gone for sure. Have never used the compare databases. I made a change on May 27 2015 so if you have BK 7.1 then the bkaudit is in your Dropbox folder. (Some files were having problems being in Dropbox, so I moved some to TEMP but I found a way to move bkaudit.txt back to Dropbox in May. So get BK 7.1 and install that. As for the deleted person, if you have a recent Backup of your database on a USB flash drive, you can use File, Utilities, Compare Two Databases to compare to the backup and move that one person back. Even with Dropbox you still need a separate Backup copy of your database on USB thumb drive or CD or somewhere.
