Thanks John; I just realized, after making a 298 page list to preview as you suggested. However, without any dates, the program would never be able to know the missing B-M-Ds between say 1810 - 1824, which is what I was seeking. Just seeing your questions helped me to realize that what I want is not possible. Now I realize I can do a word search for abt & bef & cir and perhaps get a smaller list of BMDs which will give me something to work on & possibly shorten the 'missing date' list. I got a 197 page report for 'abt' but that will be easier to locate the time frames I'm looking for. Where you have one or more of the B-M-D dates (or baptism/christening rather than birth, and burial rather than death), you might be able to narrow in that way, by making some assumptions - to get missing birth dates 1810-1824, you could collect those whose marriages are say 1824-1864, say. Of course, this is very rough, and won't catch those whose marriage date you don't have either or who never married. Similarly, with even less accuracy, working back from deaths cold help. Likewise, seeking marriages could be done by working from births (for marriages 1810-1824 I'd say births 1770-1810) or deaths, and deaths from births and marriages. [] -- J. P. Gilliver.
