    3. Kay I routinely backup BK to a (1) seperate partition on the BK host computer (same physical hard drive but looks to the computer as a seperate hard drive), (2) to an external hard drive connected to the host computer and to (3) a hard drive on another computer via a network. All seem to work well. I have not had to restore to recover from a failure but I do use the different locations (most typically the external hard drive on the host computer) to place a copy of my data for experimental purposes. I should be that rigorous with all the rest of my data. ----- Original Message ----- From: "N & K Chestnut" <nkopportunity@gorge.net> Subject: Re: [BK] Backup not possible > Could an external hard drive be an acceptable place to send Backups? > > Kay C. > ----- Original Message ----- > From: John Steed > To: bk@rootsweb.com > Sent: 2011-11-15 03:04 > Subject: Re: [BK] Backup not possible > > > To Gilles Paquette > > It is possible that the drive is so large, that BK is getting back a > false > number when it checks the free space.
