I need over the 100 characters allowable in Location for Events. By the time I put in the name of the church, town, county, country, location, section number, and grave number, I have run out of my 100 characters. I see that when a report is printed, the allowable 100 characters run over into a second line. John, can we have the rest of that line so we could add more description? There is all this empty space just waiting to be filled. Is anyone else having this problem? Thanks for any consideration, John. Carole
Even without a precise grave location, I'm in trouble with St. Paul Evangelical & Reformed (now United Church of Christ) Cemetery (Bluff Road), Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois. And yes, I do want all that to print every time. I'm still trying to differentiate among the various "St. Paul" churches in the neighborhood referred to by an earlier researcher. She knew which one she meant, but it's not at all clear to me. Marsha L. I am running BK 6.5.11 on Windows XP Pro. I almost never get any error messages, when suddenly yesterday, while backing up, I received Error 53. It appears that I have a txt file that is not associated with an individual. I see the text file and it appears to be associated with the proper picture which is associated with the proper individual. Suggestions as to how to correct this, please. Michael

John: I recently ran the above routine to fix a bunch of people on my base whose surname is "Le Poer Trench" , in conversation with a relative he said they spelled it as "le Poer Trench" The change to names went fine but is there a similar approach to fixing the same names when they appear under the tab Names and are in the sort fields? I've just removed a complete note for one person on my database, by deleting all the text and saving the changes. Hello- Is there a way to add a global source without having to be in a person's edit to create it? I am now at the stage of my research that I will be going back and looking at census data for people already in my database. I have not discovered any information to add just yet, I just want to set up global sources for the census records. Like creating one for the 1860 Census, and one for the 1870 Census, and one for the 1880 Census and so on. I want all the fields in the global source to read the same, and will just add personal information as needed. I cannot find a way to sit and create global source(s) information without creating a "new" source from within an individuals edit screen. Thanks.
