    3. To Malcome Webb For number of male or number of female, pick Lists, Word Search. Type M or F in the sex field. At the bottom click Make List to Edit and the number is below the list of names. Or click Create Report then click the tab for Type of Report and the number of names is there. Number of individuals and families is on the main screen at the bottom. The report Other, Grapic Charts can help with some other information. You can get the Age of everyone with Lists, Numeric Report and pick the BK number and Name and Age. You can send it to a file with File, Create TXT file and then sort by age. Living could be difficult: do you assume someone whose death is not entered to be living (if birth less than x ago, and if so what x to use)? The only reliable figure (and that variably so, depending as it does on how reliable entered data is) would be number known to have died. >Longest surviving; >Shortest surviving; Other | Graphic Charts | Lifespan (or Age (still living)) will give this broken down by decade. (Also you can select males or females only.) >etc >etc Other charts available are birth death and marriage months, and number of children (optionally excluding zero). You can also get count of descendants of a person, which is broken up by generation. [] A report such as you describe would be interesting, but I suspect no small amount of effort to provide. There'd need to be configuration options, such as do you use baptism/christening date if birth date not recorded, similarly for burial if no death date (for the lifespan calculations). Though since the graphic charts are offered, maybe not as huge an amount of work (and certain choices must have already been made about birth/christening etc.; I would guess birth/death only). 3. Malcolm, Have you tried the graphic reports. Some of what you want might be there. Another thing I do is create a CSV file from BK with birth & death dates in it and then read it into Excel and sort on various fields and creating separate tabs for deaths and living. When some person is 200 years old you might have to go back into BK and put some kind of death date like "Bef 6/9/2012" Jim -----Original Message----- From: bk-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:bk-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Malcolm Webb Sent: Saturday, June 09, 2012 4:14 AM To: BrothersKeeper-List Subject: [BK] Statistical Report Does anyone know of a way to produce a statistical list from a BK database? 3. To Howard Slatter If you are trying to change something for a custom event, it is treated like a Location, so you would use Change only Location on the global search and replace. Just be careful that it does not affect other locations that you do not want to change. Perhaps you can send me a private email with what exactly you are trying to change from and to.
