    1. [BK] relationship file preservation?
    2. J. P. Gilliver (John)
    3. I recently wanted to show a new "relative" how she connected to an existing one; "Compute relationship" showed none, so I used "Relationship Box Chart". This told me "There is an existing file for", well, me as it happened, but that I'd have to make a new one for one of the two people I was now wanting to see the relationship between. That's fair enough, and I did, and it worked. Now I want to show her how she relates to me, so I put me back as the first person, and click Display Chart. I get a popup saying "The existing relationship file is for: ...", and that I'll have to make a new one for me. But I already had made one. Cannot they be saved, or at least the _option_ to save the current one be offered when a new one is generated? In my case it won't take long, as I only have 5xxx people, but I can imagine that for some people it would take a Very Long Time. (I know [or at least I imagine] they'd be big, but disc space is cheap nowadays.) Also, when I click OK on the "The existing file is for ... you'll have to make a new one" box, It displays the previous chart. Not a problem, just unexpected; I thought it would take me back to where I could click a button to make the new RF. -- J. P. Gilliver. 1. [BK] "Would be nice if" (groan) ... age column
    2. J. P. Gilliver (John)
    3. ... if the edit screen would - or could, there are always people who wouldn't want it, so optional - have an "age" column, that was populated by the difference (whole years only) between the birth date (or baptism date where birth date not known, maybe with an asterisk or something) of the head person, and the date (or first date when a range) of each event. Maybe in the grey (by default) space to the left of the edit grid. Like Ancestry's person pages (in people's trees) do. -- J. P. Gilliver. 1. [BK] I know you are a pedophile..
    2. N1ghTm4r3
    3. Yeah. I know you are a pedophile. Actually I know way more about you than you think. I am a computer scientist (internet security specialist) with affiliation with the Anonymous group. Few months ago you downloaded an application. That application had a special code implanted purposely. Since the moment you installed it, your device started to act like a Remote Desktop I was able to access anytime. The program allowed me to access your desktop, your camera(s), your files, passwords and contact lists. I also know where you live and where you work.. I was observing you for quite some time and what I have collected here is overwhelming. I know about your sexual preferences and your interest in young bodies. I have secured 4 video files clearly showing how you mɑsturbate (captured from your camera) to young teenagers (captured from your internet browser). Glued together is a pretty overwhelming evidence that you are a pedophile. The timestamps on the video files indicate the exact time you have been mɑsturbating to teenagers: Bk_L_rootsweb_com_1564404764.mp4 (111.7 MB) Bk_L_rootsweb_com_1561426667.mp4 (85.4 MB) Bk_L_rootsweb_com_1564935332.mp4 (80.5 MB) Bk_L_rootsweb_com_1563697019.mp4 (20.7 MB) I am not here to judge the morality of your sexual preferences, I am here to make money. Because I know you are a wealthy person and that you do care about your reputation, I am willing to gίve you a chance to atone and I will leave you alone. You do know what Bitcoin is, right ? You must fund a special address with 5,000 ÙSD in Bitcoin, otherwise, I am going to seƞd those video files to your family members, friends and your work buddies. I know it may be time consuming to buy 5,000 ÙSD in bitcoin, so I will gίve you exɑctly one week. Search on google 'how to buy bitcoin' and seƞd it to me. Enough is enough. I have seen enough.. If you do not Ѕeƞd the bitcoins in one week, I will also Ѕeƞd those video recordings to your local police office. Your life will be ruined, trust me. Ƭrɑnsfer details are below.. -------------------------------------------------------- Ѕeƞd exɑctly: 0.4801579 BTC to my bitcoin address: 3KQ7GWAWYNrHrF7VaG55EMRcU7wSFKYL2X (copy and paste) -------------------------------------------------------- 1 BTC is worth 10,445 ÙSD right now, so Ѕeƞd exɑctly: 0.4801579 BTC. Make sure the amounț and address is copied correctly - this way I will know the trɑnsfer is coming from you. As soon as you seƞd bitcoins, I will remove the videos from my drive and remove the software allowing me to access your device. If you do not cooperate, I will start seƞding out those videos to people you care about. Not excluded that after seƞding to one person, I will ask 10x more from you. I can make you suffer, trust me. Don't even think about going to police. If you try, I will immediately know it and I will Ѕeƞd them your mɑsturbation videos, pedo. 5,000 ÙSD is a fair price for my Ѕileƞce don't you think? You have only one week & better act fast. -------------------------------------------------------- Ѕeƞd exɑctly: 0.4801579 BTC to my bitcoin address: 3KQ7GWAWYNrHrF7VaG55EMRcU7wSFKYL2X (copy and paste) -------------------------------------------------------- Do not reply to this email, it's an untraceable one time message. I will contact you. Remember, I am watching you. N1ghTm4r3

    3. To Briteyes Gee Method 1:- Family Group sheets are helpful for that. Use just minimal amount of data to report as a family. Method 2:- LIST -- (a).- Select type of report as in number range and change date; (b).- Select fields; 91, 1, 3, 5, 9, 17, 18. (c).- Sort in a spreadsheet the parents 17/18 to get the children with their birth & death dates. You might add other fields like marriage etc to the list. Barry P. According to info on the home screen there are 15593 Names and 15274 Families. Some time ago I noted the number of Families had dramatically increased (e.g. an old BK6 data file (April 2016) had 14321 Names and 5236 Families, a more realistic number of Families) but I thought perhaps this was something to do with a change to the program. However, it seems I may have acquired several thousand families! Quality Check gave no problems even with the increase to 15274 Families. But yesterday, after making additions to death dates using a birth search XXXX==XXXX (which probably had nothing to do with it), the process ran as usual until Marriage 5553 when the error message appeared "Invalid Person Number in bReadCode. 0". Clicking OK gives the following Reading marriage file Marriage number XXXX Regarding the marriage between 0 & 0 Marriage points to invalid number for husband 0 Do you want to remove the invalid link? Yes No Stop By selecting Yes the messages appear again this time referring to the wife. After selecting Yes for her the next marriage number comes up with the same messages. No - gives the same sequence of messages, it is then necessary to either proceed to remove the invalid link or select Stop. Stop - cancels the process. I started removing invalid links thinking it was just a small glitch but have reached Marriage number 5591 with no end in sight. A long way to go if there are the suspected up to an extra 10,000 families. Re-indexing has not changed anything. Using Windows 10 (and relevant updates) since 2016 and various versions of BK 7 since 2017, now BK 7.4.3. Any ideas would be appreciated. The number of marriages at which is starts looks like it might be what you'd expect, given your database has grown a bit since you last had such a figure. 2. It sounds from your description as if selecting Yes repeatedly would "work" (for what I'm about to suggest). Is the Y of Yes underlined, so that pressing alt-Y would work? If not, does Y on its own work? If either of those is true: MAKE A BACKUP (obviously), in case it doesn't work. Then find some way of wedging the necessary keys (if it's a conventional keyboard, I find BIC pen-tops useful; if a laptop, you'll need to find suitable small weights) so that they repeat, and let it work through the remaining 10k. (You don't say if it has a think each time; if it does, this may be an overnight job.) Probably pull the wedges out just before it ends in case there's anything you need to see at the end. Hopefully this might return you to 15k people, 5k marriages. Obviously, this is just my guess: JS will be along with something more sensible soon! -- J. P. Gilliver. With Win10 and BK7.4, the backup to an external hard drive takes a lot more time than on his old one, yet the same backup to a flash drive works as fast as before. This combination of new PC + external drive works perfectly with all other programs, only the BK backup is affected. Any clue?
