I have the Bittinger family history as far as the relationship to the Bargerstock family. John Bittinger was married twice: Sarah A. Schreckengost & Catherine Jubee Bargerstock Neal. Catherine was married twice: Robert Neal/Neil and John Bittinger. Catherine Jubee Bargerstock had 1 son out of wedlock: Samuel Snyder, his father was Conrad Snyder, husband of Catherine Jubee Bargerstock sister, Eva Elizabeth Bargerstock. That's a story in it's self. Samuel Snyder told the surname Neil after Catherine's marriage to Robert Neal. Robert Neal & Catherine Jubee had 1 son: James Boyd Neal born 1858 died 1861. Buried in the Neal/Neil Family Cemetery, Red Bank Twp. Armstrong Co.,PA. Robert Neal born 1832 and died 1859 buried in the same cemetery. Catherine Jubee lived with her brother Henry Bargerstock in Belknap, Wayne Twp., Armstrong Co.,PA. She married John Bittinger born Mar 2, 1832, Franklin Co.,PA and died A! pril 14, 1897 in Armstrong Co.,PA. John Bittinger and his first wife Sarah Schreckengost had the following children: Mary Ellen, Lavina Catherine, Andrew J.,Sarah M. & William Wilson. Sarah died shortly after the birth of William Wilson Bittinger. Sarah A. Schreckengost Bittinger is buried in Pleasant Union Lutheran Church Cemetery, Cowanshannock Twp., Armstrong Co.,PA. She was the daughter of John Schreckgost & Sarah Turney. John & Catherine Jubee had the following children: Henry Clarence, Joseph Miles, Ida Rebecca, Robert Elmer, James Herbert, Andrew Preston & Alice Ann. John Bittinger is buried with his first wife, Sarah A. Schreckengost. Catherine Jubee Bargerstock Neal Bittinger is buried in Concord Presbyterian Church Cemetery, near Belknap, Wayne Twp., Armstrong Co.,PA with the Bargerstock family. Her son Samuel Snyder Neal is buried in the Elderton Cemetery with his wife Elizabeth Christy family. They had NO children. The Bittinger family members received fr! om his Will. Samuel Snyder Neal operated the local funeral home in El derton and was a member of the Presbyterian church in that town. The funeral home is now owned by the Bauer family and is still open.
