His father was Earnest R. Bitner 1903-1970 and his mother was Ota M. Shope 1900-1975. Earnest's parents were William F. Bitner 1865-1929 and Emma B. Longfellow 1862-1953. My grandfather is one of eight children (seven of which I have sent letters too). Raymond Eugene, Lester Lee, Mary Madeline, Melba Jeanette, Naomi Ruth, Bill David, Earl Dane.
