My husband, Bitner R. Winckler, is a direct descendant of Johann Jacob "Jacob" Bitner/Büttner and his wife, Veronica "Fanny"/"Ann" Siegrist through their eldest son, Abraham Bitner who married Elizabeth Porter and through their son Abraham Bitner who married second, Anna C. Hostetter. Abraham's first wife was Sarah Ann Retallick. You were wondering who Jacob McCully was. Jacob McCully was Jacob and Veronica Bitner's son-in-law. He was married to their youngest daughter and child, Casanna. I have done a lot of research on this Bitner line, and you can find all my work posted on RootsWeb.com and Ancestry.com.
