She was my husband's third great-grandmother. Her youngest daughter and child, Casanna Bitner, married Jacob McCulley. Casanna and Jacob had seven children that I know of; namely, Lydia Ann (b. abt. 1825), James Thompson (b. abt. 1826), Robert Carson (b. 13 Jul 1828), Missouri (b. abt. 1831), Catherine Fanny (b. abt. 1833), Sarah (b. abt. 1835), and John M (b. abt. 1843). Who were the parents of your g-g-aunt, Mary McCulley? Given the year that Mary was baptized--1837--she may have been a cousin of the above-mentioned children. Perhaps Mary's father was a brother of Jacob McCulley, Veronica's son-in-law. If that's the case, then there would be no blood relationship between Veronica Bitner and Mary McCulley.
