I don't think we are on the same Bitner family. I don't know of any Calhouns in this Bitner family. I am doing this research for a friend. This branch that I have starts back with a Stephen Adam Bitner born March 7, 1847 in Bavaria Germany. He married a Mary Elizabeth Winn don't know when. They had 9 children that I know of. They 8th child William Charles Oliver Bitner born May 14, 1892 and he married a Margaret Jane Endress. If any of this sounds familar let me know. Hope I might have been some help. Here is some information of the BITNER Family of Morton and Stanton Co., KS. Maude BITNER (b: 7 Jan 1882 d: Sep 1971 at Johnson, KS) married to ?Charles? BITNER (unknown dob/pob). Maude had a large family of six children. Sons: Elmer, Roy and Orville, all residents of Johnson, KS and all now deceased. Daughters: Ruby, Anna Pearl, and Marion Opal. Ruby was married to Charles BRADY and lived at Chase (Rice Co.), KS until death in Sep 1993. Anna Pearl was married to Joseph KIPPES and resided at Johnson, KS until death in Sep 1998. Marion Opal was married to Franklin Benjamin PULLINS and lived at lived at Johnson, KS until death in 1962. I am seeking further information on Maude BITNER's place and date of birth, and one her siblings and parents. Would appreciate any help! I'm looking for any information on the wife of John BITNER bn abt. 1813 and died in Laughlintown, Westmoreland County, PA before 1895. His parents were John Peter BITNER and Anna Maria Mathews. John BITNER's wife was Elizabeth BISHOP/BISCHOFF bn 1826 in Somerset county, PA and died in Laughlintown, Westmoreland county, PA 1895. Does anyone know anything about her?
