There are many rumors on the true legend. One being that she died on her wedding night after pursuing a marriage forbid by her family by a fall down a staircase, the other being a fall from a window. Unconfirmed, her family proclaimed she died from disease. However, her gravesite is quite elaborate for a woman of 22 years. It includes a life size statue of a young woman holding a bouquet ascending a staircase. A pillar at her site holds the carving " Could Love Have Kept Her? " Good luck in your search. I've just started doing this geneaology thing, and find it quite interesting. Is there anyway you can help me get started. I just wished I would've listened a little closer to my grandparents, as I find this SO fascinating!
