Margaret, I would have a look on the electoral role. They have these at Birkenhead Library going back a long way. I have found a few of "my family" on them. I realise this is o.k if you live nearby and it only lists people who are of Voting age. I have found it to be an added extra in my research.. regards. I know from directories that the address existed and that Robert Hawkins was living there from the late 1850's until he died in 1882.
