    3. Hello All, there was a query about RBL graves in Landigan, These graves were purchased by Birkenhead Royal British Legion for ex members of the forces from the two World Wars (mainly WW1) who had fallen on hard times, and to avoid the indignity of being buried in a paupers grave after fighting for their country. Birkenhead RBL is at present in the process of putting Plaques on the graves, contact with relatives is sought, with a view to holding a Service of Remembrance, the man in charge of the project is George Rose whose e-mail address is george@grose.freeserve.co.uk here is a list of the names: - Landigan Cemetary William Pardue Edward Long, James Roberts, William Williams, Hugh Jordan, Albert Calveley, John Evans, Thomas Brandreth, Arthur Morgan, John Davies, Albert Shakespeare, Robert Roberts, Herbert Robinson, Robert Davies, George Francis, Frank Banks, George Sherlock, William Sullivan, Charles Anderson, William Marrin, Rupert Bromley, James Dodwell, James McKinley, Gerrard Byrne, Peter Nian, John Long, William Cook, James Stanley, Frederick Murphy, Herbert Saul, Oswald Bennett, William Baskerville, Thomas McMara, Dennis Hogan, Owen Mulligan, David edwards, Alexander Malone, William Gillam, JohnnEvans, Charles Lewis, Joseph Robinson, Samuel Shone.
