Hello List , Can anyone.. tell me anything about the ROYAL ROCK HOTEL ?.. I believe it was ONCE situated on the ROCK FERRY ESPLAINADES..and was demolished about 1930..My interest is - that at some point prior to it being demolished the Figure Head of the Ship " Forteviot" stood in the Gardens ..My grt-grt-Grnadfather was the Ships First Captain( the ship was launched in Liverpool in 1891)there was supposed to have been a photograph of the figure head in the gardens ,in a book titled " The Forgotton Shores of the Wirral" however -when i was finaly able to locate a copy of the book -there was no picture !!.
