    3. Hello Annabelle, School records are usually held at local record offices or sometimes at the schools themselves. The Wirral Archives have a leaflet listing all the school records they hold. Most are for Birkenhead schools but others named are in Wallasey, Heswall, Tranmere etc. Other records administered by Cheshire County Council before 1974 are likely to have been deposited at Cheshire Record Office; the majority of these are from Church of England schools. The Archive phone no. in Birkenhead is 0151 647 39965 and their address is: Wirral Museum, Birkenhead town Hall, Hamilton Square, Birkenhead CH41 5BR The school I am particularly interested in is the old school at Hr. Bebington but these appear to have gone missing. If anyone has any idea where they are I shall be glad to hear from them.
