    3. Hello Anita, Tranmere is part of Birkenhead Borough, Mollington, Saughall etc are about 15 miles away. Have a look at www.streetmaps.co.uk just type in Birkenhead. I am 99% certain that the family in the 1881 census is yours, Elizabeth is his 2nd wife and James Tilston is her son from her 1st marriage. All the other names fit. I,ve had a look for Joseph, I think this is him working on another farm.
