My sincere thanks to Chris,Carl,Jan,Alan,Lesley,Caryl and the Kinsellas.There was a unanimous opinion that my g g grandfather,William Cox, was an employee of the Railway employed in construction of the railway, as opposed to operating trains.To pursue this further, William Cox was identified as an Engineer in the 1841 Census when he was 2-3 months short of his 19th. birthday.How would such a young man have become qualified as an Engineer in the late 1830's?Ray.Jones,Ontario
