He was bap' Snowdon Stephen Clarke Smith , Dob 14 - 9 - 1886 in Southampton , where he spent some of his life. Has a older child he lived in Jersey, C.I. His link with the Birkenhead area, is it is where he enlisted in the Royal Welch Fusiliers , Service No. 4995 [ 291894 ]. He may have been in the Cheshire Regiment before the R.W.F . He was killed in action on 26 - 3 - 1917 in Palestine. Did he live in Merseyside, have a wife , children ? Is there anyone or family that use the name Clarke as a middle name in front of Smith ?
