    1. [BKHD] Request for Assistance - 1881 Census Image, Bebington
    2. John Farrall
    3. Listers, Sorry, I sent this before I had a chance to sign it. My apologies. I have been wrestling with the census information provided by the 1881 census. According to that census, my great grandfather, John FARRALL, lived at 43, Bromborough Road, Lower Bebington, along with his wife Mary and children Susan, George, Hannah, and William. The census says, at least in Times Roman Script, that John was born in "Manly". My attempts to locate either John or his father George, in Manley in have not been successful. I recently, however, discovered that there were several FARRALL families in the County of Staffordshire, in the town of Hanley. I know from viewing US census images, that indexed transcriptions can wrong. Since the 1881 census is so popular, can SKS view the image for 43, Brombough Road, Lower Bebington, to try and determine the spelling of the birth place? Could it be "Hanly" versus "Manly"? Perhaps I have been looking in the wrong area. Any input from viewing the actual image would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Kind regards, John Farrall Burke, Virginia USA Reseaching: FARRALL, HALL, ROBERTS, BEBINGTON, DAWSON, WHITEHEAD, WHITE
