Hello Everyone, I have just found out my great Uncle was born in Birkenhead and I am hoping his siblings, one of which is my grandmother. Here is the info. I have: Mary Ann (LAYLOW??) married George ELLIS daughter Sarah ELLIS married James POWERS (my ggrandparents) Their children: William b. 1886 England George b.1890 Birkenhead, England James b.abt.1891 England Elizabeth b.abt.1892 England Catherine b.1894 England (my grandmother) Marion b. 1901 Connecticut, USA (According to the 1910 census both Sarah & James were born in England. Sarahs parents were born in England & james' in Ireland) They came to USA in 1899, supposedly through Ellis Island but I have been unable to find them on that site. I have some of their full birth dates and would like to know how to go about obtaining their birth records. This is the first I have searched outside of the USA. I would appreciate any info or suggestions on researching this family.
