Strange, as my grandmother, Josephine Alice BURKETT was born at 10 Bentinck Street, Birkenhead, on 16th Feb. 1902, and her brother James BURKETT married a Millicent OWENS. Strange coincidences! Sue
Hello Sue, Yes I do remember you ,was the father of your BIRKETT family called GILBERT a Bricklayer?. My Grandma was ELIZABETH BIRKETT from PYM St. Her sister was Chicky Birkett who lived in Prince Edward St and married a HOLLAND. One of the witnesses was WILLIAM BIRKETT. I have heard that the BIRKETT's were from Oliver st and Cromwell st area and went to st john's church. that is where my Grandparents got married in 1902. My grandad GEORGE OWENS address on Marr. Cert is Cambridge place. My Grandparents last lived In MALLABY St. Opposite the Victory Kidder. I cannot claim a Millicent OWENS sorry. The Bentinck st connection is: SARAH OWENS b 1894 17 Bentinck St Sister to my Grandad GEORGE. thank you for your reply I do hope I get some more!!.
