Hello from sunny and showery Portugal. Thanks to all on the list who replied, especially Wendy who put me on track with the Wirral Archive. They have found Edward Alexander SUTTON in Flaybrick cemetery in a private grave (what does that mean please?) with his wife who died in 1889 and 2 children who died in 1867 and 1869. As I have the plot number etc, is it possible to find out if there is a headstone? It is Church of England section number 3, plot 389. The third section on the right from the Tollemache road entrance and the second on the left from the Boundary Road entrance according to the information provided by the Archive. If anyone is there and would be prepared to photograph and e mail me any memorial if one exists I would be very, very grateful.
