    3. Hi John, It's definitely not the Harvest Mouse. That's right at the other end of Irby Road, on the junction of Pensby Road and Whitfield Lane. One of my old haunts, but much more often at the Black Horse in Lower Heswall. I lived opposite the Boys' school, then moved along Irby Road just a couple of hundred meters from the Harvest Mouse. The Anchor was near to Irby Hall, then the Labour Club (?) was just up along Thingwall Road I think just passed the row of shops. Then I seem to remember a white building on the corner of Irby Road and Thingwall Road opposite Irby Hall. Irby Hall used to have the old war planes round the back, and the cows in the field at the side. Then on the opposite side of Irby and Thingwall Roads was the library. Perhaps the drink has affected my memory!! You'll have to check it out for me!
