    3. I have had a look at the image and the end bit is definitely "mach", which is short for Machine, but goodness knows what the beginning is. I don't think it is another M but it is difficult to tell without knowing what the possibilities are. It is definitely Windward too, but I can see how the transcriber saw it as Winwood, at a glance it could be double o, but if you look carefully it isn't.
