    3. Hello again, Bob Just as a matter of interest, the 1851 Census has :- HO107/2173 folio 131 Thornton Hough (Neston) James PIERCEY, 31, ag labourer, CHS Trafford Anne, wife, 29, CHS Barnston Maryann, daur, 2, LAN Liverpool Marget, daur, 1 month, CHS Thornton Hough and HO107/2174 folio 264 Liscard (St John) Thomas JONES, 55, journeyman sail maker, CHS Oxton Ellen, wife, 53, LAN Liverpool Thomas, son, M, 25, journeyman sail maker, LAN Liverpool William, son, U, 22, warehouseman, LAN Liverpool Mary, daur, U, 21, LAN Liverpool Richard, son, U, 18, sail maker appr, LAN Liverpool Ellen, daur, U, 17, LAN, Liverpool Ann, daur, M, 23, sail maker's wife, LAN Liverpool Robert, son, 15, servant boy, LAN Liverpool Catherine, daur, 13, LAN Liverpool Ellen HUGHES, grand daur, 9, LAN Liverpool Mary A HUGHES, grand daur, 5, LAN Liverpool Frances PERCY, nurse child, 1, CHS Liscard Stephen MADDOX, nephew, U,18, LAN Liverpool The name of the nurse-child in the second entry is rather difficult to distinguish and could in fact be either Frances or James. I've chosen the former simply because the age has been placed in the Female column rather than the Male. Significantly, however, the Cheshire BMD site doesn't have the birth of a Frances PERCY whereas it does have a James PERCEY. The 1851 Index also has a PERCY at reference 2175 folio 411, but you'll have to ask another SKS to look this one up for you since I don't have the 2175 CD. Regards Gordon
