One used to be able to visit the office at Landican Cemetery and look at the burial records and grave registers. I am told that that due to over use these are no longer available to the public. They don't appear to have been microfilmed or digitised so the only means of access is asking cemetery staff to do any look ups. The staff give every indication of being helpful but I have found that they never come back with an answer. I suppose that they are too busy carrying out there other duties. Hi David, I have asked the staff for a lookup only once. I knew the date of death of the person I was researching and I made my query by phone. I waited on the line while the staff member found the record and read it out to me. I have also used the filmed burial records for Flaybrick which are at Birkenhead Library. I did not know the exact date of death and the archive staff were very helpful and helped me find the burial record and also the records of other family members who had been buried in the same grave. good luck Kathy

    3. Kathy, The libraries only have records to 1960. I was looking for a burial in 1993. I sent numerous emails which were not replied to and phoned a few times. They agreed that they had seen the emails and I had an exact date but told me each time that they would look for the information when they had the time. They always sounded very helpful and very willing to look up the information for me but nothing ever came of it.
